The blog title pretty much says it. I’ve spent my working career making things and I have an abiding and absolute passion for manufacturing.
I like young folks who want to learn, dependable machinery, companies with a vision to succeed, people who embrace challenges and change, and occasionally a good pizza.
I really dislike the phrase “That’s not my job.” I think Robert A. Heinlein said it best when he wrote:
“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently and die gallantly.
Specialization is for insects.”
